A twenty-four page Bristol pamphlet compiled from the manuscripts of several people who were in the room, describing the deliverance of George Lukins in the vestry of Temple Church after some eighteen years of reported affliction. Valuable to this corpus for what the liturgical texts cannot supply: an account of what an English provincial deliverance looked like in practice, by witnesses, a hundred and seventy years after Rome fixed its rite. It was contested in print almost immediately, on religious, medical and testimonial grounds, and the controversy is part of the record rather than a later gloss on it.
